Lightning Release (雷遁, Raiton) is one of the five basic elemental nature transformation techniques that allows the user to generate lightning by increasing the high frequency vibrations of their chakra. The electricity can temporarily paralyze the target so that they are unable to move and leave them vulnerable to further assault.

The advantage of Lightning Release techniques lies in the sheer speed of its attacks. Against comparable attacks and Speed stats, its techniques are considered superior.

Jibashi (Electromagnetic Murder) - 750 Ninjutsu

The user streams lightning-based chakra throughout their body, and discharges it all in a wave that reaches out to everything within 5m of the user.

Raijuu Hashiri (Lightning Beast Running) - 2,000 Ninjutsu

Focusing lightning chakra in their hand, the user creates a beast resembling a wolf which then chases a specific target. The wolf is trailed by a tether of lightning that runs from the beast to the user's hand, which manipulates the beast itself.

One beast can be cast per round for every 5,000 Ninjutsu the user has. The beast(s) chase the user for up to two rounds before dissipating.

Gian (False Darkness) - 6,000 Ninjutsu

A focused beam of lightning shoots from the user’s extended finger to strike and pierce through its target. It is strong enough to cut through rock and less dense material. Due to its destructive power, it is difficult to precisely control for even the most practiced of Lightning Release users.
