Village Corps
Each player has the opportunity to join a specific corps of specialists within their village which gives them access to a specific line of techniques otherwise unavailable to standard shinobi. In game, each character joins their respective corps and learns techniques as they progress in skill until all have been acquired. Being a part of a certain corps means the responsibilities for each are different; shinobi who chose to join a corps specializing in barrier techniques may not see as much time outside of their village as other shinobi, as they are tasked with maintaining the barriers that surround each village and capturing any interlopers who manage to pass through it. A medical corps shinobi may spend most of their time inside the village after reaching chuunin rank, and so forth.
The advantage to these limited responsibilities, however, are the powerful Corps Techniques available to those of their sort. There can be more than one corps for each specialization within each village, and every user has the opportunity to create one should they be at least jounin rank and are given approval.
The corps-specific techniques occupy the four Squad Tech slots available to each user.
Legacy Feats
If you leave your corps, you can choose to retain only one technique from the Corps Techniques by Legacy-ing the slot. This is feasible so long as the technique it is not attached to another within the branch; for example, you cannot use the Legacy option to keep only the Fifth Gate of the Eight Gates style, as it is predicated on simultaneous usage of the preceding gates to use.Again, you do not have to join a specific corps upon joining.
